Allison Gander

Allison Gander is a California licensed architect, living and practicing architecture in Redondo Beach.  A native Kentuckian, Allison left her small town and old Kentucky home for the big city of Atlanta, home of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.  Two architectural degrees from Tach later, Allison made a big cross-country move to Los Angeles, and more specially, the South Bay in 2006.

After practicing with a Los Angeles firm for six years, Allison started a new chapter in 2012.  She began working with another firm as an independent consultant and assisted with the Dodger Stadium improvements for the next two off seasons.  In 2015, Allison and her firm AGA Design Partner with Rise Academy of Dance and owner Nicole Cohen to open the first Rise Dance Studio in Redondo Beach.  The project was complete with a dancers’ floor, barres, mirrors, and lobby space for all those students waiting for their next class.

Most recently, AGA Design has been collaborating with Melvyn Green & Associates, a Historic Preservation Structural Engineers, on projects in and outside of California.  The world of historic restoration/rehabilitation has been one Allison has really gotten interested in and finds fascinating as well as rewarding.  Helping these older structures stay alive and vibrant.  The adobe structure featured here is located in North Las Vegas, Nevada.  He has a few exterior and interior improvements made to welcome visitors to travel back in time.
